Dila is a second-year PhD student in the Davoli and Maitra Labs. She grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. For undergrad, she moved to the U.S. and double majored in Genetics and Arts & Humanities at Michigan State University. After graduating in 2023, Dila moved to Boston and worked as a research technician in the Jacks Lab at MIT, where she studied pancreatic cancer biology. Now, her research focuses on pancreatic cancer and chromosomal instability.

• Outside the lab, she has been dancing since 4 years old and loves taking dance classes around NYC. She also loves reading, finding great food spots, and exploring the city with friends!
